IT'S GETTING HOT IN HERE

ootdhouse 009

Today was an errand day. Managed to squeeze in some thrifting as well. Fruitless, but still was nice to see which of the local shoppes are worthwhile. It was a beautiful day to spend lolling around downtown, and checking out trinkets. I was feeling low key and casual, so this is the result. (And I'm totally watching USA v. Paraguay as I type this...)

Exhuberant Wednesday

(Not by where I really live, but around there. Credit: Allen Hughes)

It is a beautiful day on Florida's Space Coast! Of course, the afternoon showers will leave something to be desired, but I'm in a decent mood for once.

TAKE THAT, BLACK CLOUD. HA.

I know that I've gone into my melancholic nature on here, and I really don't want to dwell on that today. I'm in too good of a mood to talk myself down. SUPRISE. I can be cheerful! WTF?

So, I've been thinking. I live in a beautiful little beach town, and there are some seriously cool little locations that could be utilized for the site. Granted, I'm not a photographer. It's something I enjoy and like well enough, but my purpose for taking pictures is to run them through Photoshop or Illustrator and turn into digital creations. Gah, that sounds so pretentious.

Anyways! While keeping my super secret location semi-secret, I will also be sharing the beauty of my town. And if you guess where I live, I'M MOVING.

In more pleasant news, and keeping with the good juju, here's the YouTube sensational recreation of the England - USA match.

Waka Waka!

I'm going to play with my pups, order calamari and then go dancing as a reward for not calling in sick today. There's some perks to this "being an adult" business after all.

SOCCER (FOOTBALL) UPDATE:

I've watched the FIFA matches from my work computer. I can't stand commentators on ESPN radio, so I've been listening to the Italian broadcasts. Which I don't know what the fuck they're saying, only that their explosions of excitement are much more fun than the English commentators. I've been looking for my Pele jersey, so far no luck.
(Keeping my fingers crossed that USA pulls one out! AVENGE THE GULF!)

Currently

For the next month, I'll be pretty focused on the World Cup. So if you see a bunch of soccer-centric posts, don't freak.

Watching

The World Cup matches!

Seriously, if you didn't see this one coming from a mile away....

Reading

Fever Dream

The latest addition to the Pendergast series by Lincoln and Child. Like the others, it involves a strange death that Pendergast and Lt. D'Agosta of the NYPD, must investigate. Only the victim is none other than Pendergast's wife, who was mauled by a lion twelve years prior.

I haven't gotten very far, but it is gripping and action packed so far.

Listening to
Pachanga

This is another guilty pleasure. Latino dance beats, misogynistic lyrics, thug posturing. It's all so much cheese and I can't help it. I think it's hilarious and fun to shake my booty to.

Eating

Lad Na

I am a fiend for Thai food. There aren't too many Thai-only resturants where I live, but the ones that do serve Thai are delicious.

Drinking

Champagne

Crisp, bubbly, and timeless. I'm putting down the cocktails for a bit, and decided I will only sip on wine or champagne. Something about champagne just makes an evening feel more sophisticated, instead of the usual drink-dance-drunk-puke-in-the-gutter evening.
Oh, to be young.

That's all I've got right now, without being soccer related. See you cats soon, and have a fun, safe night!
