COVET

This edition of COVET is: polka dots!

I don't know when I began my romance with polka dots, probably at Disney when I met Minnie Mouse for the first time, but after years, I'm falling in love all over again.

Polka dots are classic, whimsical, and flirty. Whether Swiss-cheese size, itty bitty micro size, or anywhere in between. And lately there's been a great crop of cute, affordable options.

Pleated skirt from F21. WANT. Seriously, how cute is this?! I can see pairing this with all kinds of whimsical and girly tops.

Tights! I saw the lovely and adorable Tiffany from I am Style-ish wearing polka dot tights a while back, and have been lusting for a pair of my own ever since. She always has some of the cutest ideas! This is a more subtle way to flaunt the dots.

Dress from Forever 21. Slim, sexy, so totally on trend. I think I'd like this a bit more if it were knee-length or just above. there's a low back on this (which I forgot to snag a picture of, damn it!) so I really think that would help balance this out. Other than that, dude, toss on the Miss Me wedges from the "COVET: shoes!" post and rokk! I'd like to try wearing this with turquoise accessories: pleather belt, chunky ring, dangling earrings or rough-cut necklace. And turquoise snakeskin pumps.

DROOL.

And I would like to note, on January 20th, while reviewing Forever 21 Twist line, I said I wished they made a retro polka dot dress. This is what I was thinking. A kinda sheath dress, only sexier and dripping with attitude. Brava, F21!
