I think I've mentioned a time or two (or twelve) that I live in Florida. So springtime comes quick, and just as quickly turns into summer. So, even though we're going through a deep freeze (boo hoo, I know, we're lucky we aren't buried by snow, I get it!) right now, I'm looking forward to the dresses to get me through the rest of the year.
I love the ease with dresses. Throw one on, some cute sandals, and an armful of bracelets, et viola! Always gorgeous and ready for anything. Thank goodness living in a beach town means I don't have to glam up at night. 'Casual dress' usually means a graphic shirt and cargo shorts, or beach cover up and bikini, even at church. True story. Back when I still went to Mass every week, during the summer I'd see tourist families going up for Eucharist in bathing suits.
Here are my picks:
This is from anthropologie and even though it's a sweater dress, I can see this working out down south. This would be a great work basic or for medical boards. A lace cami underneath, understated heels, and some dangling earrings. Take the cami off, throw on higher heels, and you can shake your hair out after work.
I love that it has pockets. I've always thought that the biggest design flaw with dresses and skirts is that they don't have more styles with pockets. For clubbing or a night of bar hopping, a zippered pocket would be such a relief from carrying around a purse. Just slip in your ID, cash or credit card, and some ChapStick and you're good to go.

Can I just say, l-l-l-lah-lovely!!! I would pay full price for this baby SO HARD I can't even tell you. The ruffles! The color! The curves! The slit! Any and every woman would be man-eating queens in this. Shiiiiiiiit, I'm ordering it right now! Woo!

By the time I saved this and posted it, this style has been sold out. It's from the Love21 line at Forever21, a silk blend dress. I thought it was gorgeous and perfect for the winter/spring transition. Oh well. Some other time.
That's all for this edition of COVET. Love!
