Deconstruction: Matteo

The UPS man came yesterday, bearing the gift of shooties. Michael Antonio's Matteo, to be exact.


I ordered from Piperlime, which happened to be running a 40% off on a huge selection of merchendise. Matteo included. The only thing I worried about was the fit. Obviously, when you get shoes, you want them to fit, but I've detailed my idiocy when it comes to shoes I love and desire.


The reviews on the site praised the beauty and fun styling and comfort of the shoes, but lamenting the width. A lot of the reviewers mentioned it was best to order a half size below to get the best fit.


I deemed the best decision for my strangely sized feet was to go for a 7 instead of my usual 7 1/2 - 8. Even that wasn't good enough. A 6 1/2 would have been perfect, as the 7s are just a tad bit loose on the sides. For my lifestyle, they'll do.


I'm wearing them out tonight for my friend's birthday bash, so I'll be able to attest to long-wear comfort. So far, from my intermittant prancing around town, they've been wonderful.
